The University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics is pleased to extend a very warm welcome to Dr. Graham Englert, who joins the Pediatric Division as a Tenure-Track Instructor specializing in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Neuromuscular Care. Dr. Englert will officially begin his faculty appointment on September 8.
A native of Franklin, Tennessee, Dr. Englert brings with him a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to pediatric care. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in May 2015, majoring in Science-Business with minors in Peace Studies and International Development Studies. He went on to receive his M.D. from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in 2019.
Dr. Englert completed a five-year Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Beaumont Health (2019–2024), followed by a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he was recognized for his clinical excellence and unwavering dedication to pediatric orthopaedics.
As he begins his clinical practice, Dr. Englert will be seeing patients at multiple locations, including the University Orthopaedic Center (UOC), University of Utah Hospital, and Primary Children’s Hospital campuses in Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Layton. His broad presence across the region will help expand access to expert pediatric orthopaedic and neuromuscular care for families throughout Utah.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Englert has a strong interest in global health. He participates in annual medical mission trips to Buga, Colombia through the Silver Service Children’s Foundation, helping to bring orthopaedic care to underserved pediatric populations.
Outside of work, Dr. Englert enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending quality time with his fiancée, Abby, and their dog, River.
