About Me

I grew up on the island of O'ahu before completing studies in Biochemistry and Math at the University of Puget Sound, where I also played baseball. Afterwards I returned home to the University of Hawai'i to complete medical school.

Medical Areas of Interest

I'm open to all areas of orthopaedic surgery. My research interests include patient reported outcome research, longitudinal trials, and basic science/translational studies.

Interests & Hobbies

I'm interested in a lot of outdoors or active hobbies including all things sports, working out, trail running, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling. I like listening to podcasts and finding a good place to get food or catch a drink.

Why Utah?

Utah offers an exceptional balance of operative exposure across all orthopaedic subspecialties, robust research opportunities, and a deep, genuine commitment to resident education. This commitment was evident in the impressive surgical skill and clinical knowledge displayed by the residents. The program’s history of producing leaders in orthopaedics further affirmed its strength and reputation. What truly set it apart for me, however, was the camaraderie among residents and the supportive, collaborative learning environment—both of which made it clear that this is where I want to train. On top of that, Salt Lake City is an incredible place to live, especially for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
