About Me

I grew up in Miami, FL where the TV show "Scrubs" sparked an interest in medicine. I then studied chemistry at the University of North Florida. After undergrad, I moved to Philly for medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. After ruling out many surgical specialties, I decided to pursue orthopaedics after a busy ortho trauma rotation. I went on to do a research year at Rothman Orthopaedics, focusing on shoulder & elbow surgery.

Medical Areas of Interest

Orthopaedic trauma, upper extremity, shoulder arthroplasty

Why Utah?

My mentors from my research year recommended rotating at Utah, and it quickly became clear why. The program offers exceptional trauma training, top-tier subspecialties, and boundless research opportunities. What truly distinguished this program, however, was the people. The faculty are genuinely dedicated to mentoring residents and medical students. In addition, the program’s infrastructure, including a dedicated orthopaedic surgery center, a state-of-the-art SKI cadaver lab, and exceptional support staff, creates an ideal environment to develop into an excellent surgeon. Plus, SLC was a place where I could continue my hobbies and enjoy my time off amid a busy residency.
