The University of Utah is delighted to announce the addition of Joel Turtle, MD, to our esteemed orthopaedic team. Dr. Turtle is a highly skilled pediatric orthopaedic surgeon with a specialized focus in pediatric spine surgery.
Dr. Turtle brings a unique blend of expertise to our team, holding both a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Neuroscience from Texas A&M. His journey in orthopaedics began right here at the University of Utah, where he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He then advanced his training with a prestigious fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the nation’s leading pediatric healthcare facilities.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Turtle back to the University of Utah. His specialized training in pediatric spine surgery and his deep connection to our community make him an invaluable addition to our team.
We are excited to see the positive impact he will have on the lives of our young patients.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Turtle enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife, Faryal, and their dog, Milo. They are often found exploring the great outdoors and participating in various athletic activities.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Joel Turtle to the University of Utah Orthopaedic team. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the expertise and compassionate care he will provide to our patients.
