Dr. Danielle Geerling is a Research Associate in the spine division. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Marquette University, and her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Utah. Before joining the spine team at the University of Utah, she was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at St. Norbert College in Wisconsin, where she taught courses in statistics and research methods while pursuing research on topics such as academic motivation, well-being, and student belonging. She is experienced in conducting both experimental and correlational research using a variety of quantitative methods.
A highly skilled research administrator with expertise in grants, contracts, and external funding sources. Versatile analytical skills showcased in coordinating patient information, laboratory samples and compliance documents from a diverse collection of clinical trials. Extensive experience overseeing compliance protocols, maintaining quality control, and completing and submitting study-related documentation. Certified in “good clinical practices.” Proficient in proposal development and professional writing, serving as a liaison to various campus entities, including the Office of Sponsored Projects, the Institutional Review Board, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, and the Office of the Vice President for Research. As a knowledgeable research administrator, I excel at recognizing clinical values and abstracting data from source documents. Whether in research or in grants I strive to support my team in achieving the University’s goals.
